Educational innovations that promote the implementation of practices that improve the teaching-learning process at Tecnológico de Monterrey at any of the different educational levels or training areas (High School, Undergraduate, Graduate, Leadership and Student Development, Social Service).

How we evaluate

We have an Evaluation Committee to review the proposals received during our calls.

The Novus team does not influence peer evaluation. The evaluators are external specialists who base their assessments on the proposal information and the instrument, both available on the platform.

Proposals are evaluated using the following academic criteria:

The proposal:

  • specifies the expected impact of the innovation.
  • contains appropriate indicators.
  • takes into account institutional infrastructure.
  • does not compromise the integrity of students and/or faculty.

The proposal:

  • seeks the acquisition or development of competencies.
  • facilitates processes of monitoring, development, evaluation, and/or feedback of learning or development.
  • is implemented as a series of activities, experiences, or interactions.

The proposal:

  • Includes a phased work schedule.
  • Presents a literature review that justifies the use of educational technology and/or institutional strategy.
  • Describes the data collection instrument for each indicator.
  • Contains appropriate instruments to measure the impact of the project.

The proposal:

  • addresses a direct problem or need related to teaching or learning processes.
  • has the potential for a positive impact on the teaching-learning process.
  • has the potential to change existing practices in teaching and learning processes.
  • can result in a memorable experience.

Through this process, fairness, rigor, and transparency in the selection are ensured and any bias towards a proposal is avoided.

Proposals are ranked according to the scores obtained and the value of each criterion. The proposals with the highest scores are selected.

Who can participate

All members of the teaching community at Tecnológico de Monterrey, regardless of their type of contract, can participate. One can be responsible for up to three projects supported by our initiative; if seeking funding for a fourth project, it will be necessary to successfully complete one of the active projects or transfer the leadership of an active project to another person.
